STAFF

The most important part of any school is its teachers and their support staff. At Swans, we are lucky to have a core of teachers who have been at the school for many years. Maintaining Swans´ aims, standards and philosophy is greatly facilitated by this; additionally, integrating new staff members into our team is a smooth process.

STRUCTURE

The school is organised on the lines of an English primary school with two parallel classes in each year group. The Early Years and Reception classes, each with their own teacher and designated helpers (Spanish and English), form the Foundation Stage. Year 1 and Year 2 are Key Stage 1 and Year 3 to Year 6 are Key Stage 2. Learning support operates throughout the three stages. As in English schools we place children in year groups according to their age but, as this is done according to academic as opposed to calendar year in the Spanish system, this sometimes leads to anomalies. Whilst adhering to the policy as strictly as possible the school reserves the right to place the children.
