MUSIC

Music has a key role to play in every child’s development from the day they enter Early Years until the day they leave. At Swans, all children are given opportunities to participate in and enjoy a wide range of musical activities as individuals, in groups, as a class and as a whole school. Each term there is usually some form of production, ranging from the performance of a few songs to musical and dramatic productions; the standards our young performers achieve are always fantastic. Productions in recent years have included It’s a Baby, It’s a Party, Jack and the Beanstalk, Jack Frost, Hansel and Gretel and the Lemonade Kid. Every Christmas we have a Nativity and carol concert. The school year ends with International Day which has a musical theme, incorporating songs in English, Spanish and French amongst the celebrations! Above all, the children are motivated to participate, enjoy and succeed in music; judging by their performances, they certainly do!
